The Avengers

Last week I went with my hubby and some friends to see The Avengers, but I am only just now getting to sit and write about it. I don't want to give away too much, so I will keep it short. The movie was very good, highly entertaining, action-packed, and fun. Many people told me how funny it was, and so in my mind I was expecting it to be a comedy with some action thrown in. In reality it was more of an action movie with some comedy thrown in. That's not to say it wasn't funny, I am just trying to prepare anyone that hasn't seen it yet to anticipate the appropriate amount of funniness. After I saw the movie, I spent the next 24 hours basically trying to decide which Avenger was my favorite. I *think* I have it narrowed down to Thor and Captain America, though others are also awesome. Also, I was never really a fan of the Hulk, but after this movie I like him better. So, go see it if you haven't already! :)

*edit: I included this great Captain America picture for Lola. :)

  1. I saw it this weekend and loved it!! I'm still laughing over the Hulk/Loki ragdoll scene :) Also, did you stay through the credits to the very end?
Have you seen Captain America, Thor and Iron Man I & II? The Avengers ties a lot of things together from those movies.
    Glad you enjoyed the movie.

  2. Yes that scene with Hulk and Loki was wonderful. :) And I knew to stay after the credits, but I thought the half-way credit scene was the end, so we left the theater before the final scene. Thank goodness for YouTube so I could see what I missed! If I can figure out how to a share a picture on here, I'll have to show you a great Captain America picture I found! :)

  3. Too funny! Love that picture. One of my fav lines in the movie was, "There's only one God, ma'am, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." Ha!

  4. We watched Captain America last night. WOW! What a movie! I refused to see the Avengers until I had seen it and Thor. We watch Thor tonight. Your little nephew has big plans to BE Captain America, today. He said, "I can't go with you (to the gym) tomorrow. I have too much saving to do."
